Hillside HR Consulting was forged in 2019 with a mission to provide businesses with direct access to specialist HR expertise. Jeanie Hounsome-Smith leads the business with her extensive HR experience. She is supported by her husband, David, who has a wealth of commercial knowledge and analytical know-how. We are based in the heart of Wales and are readily available to connect remotely or travel to you.
Jeanie Hounsome-Smith, Chartered MCIPD
After studying law, I spent over a decade developing a rich variety of operational and specialist HR experience with multi-national organisations in retail, high-technology, not-for-profit and the health and pharmaceutical sectors. I absolutely love getting to the core of an issue and delivering bespoke solutions.
I find it particularly rewarding to work with international clients in developing solutions that drive a gold-standard practice and common global culture but also recognise, respect and treasure local site diversity.
David Hounsome
I originally qualified in Product Design before transitioning to a career in FMCG and construction, working in a variety of roles from VM, procurement, supply chain, logistics to service management. Over the years, I refined my analytical and data management skills and use these to provide data-driven commercial insights to support our clients long term strategic decisions.
